The Artist Life (ALNFP) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit institution devoted to aiding our neighborhood. We act as a premier visual art education anchor in Chatham on Chicago’s south side, focused on strengthening our city’s profound links to creative greatness, cultural variety, and urgent social issues. By creating a welcoming atmosphere, we function as a crucial hub for our local area and the public.
Our main goal is to span economic, ethnic, and social gaps by providing underserved youth with the vital tools for self-reliance. Through working with figure models and anatomical study, students learn classical methods and contemporary skills. This distinct framework enables young artists to pursue rich learning and physical study while establishing a solid economic base.
As a light of optimism, ALNFP offers the visibility and life-altering moments needed to bridge voids in guidance and advocacy. We hold that when given a supportive setting and right schooling, any goal is achievable. With the ongoing backing of our peers, we can trigger restorative growth for our teens and produce a permanent legacy throughout their whole communities.
